Established in 1572, this is the second most populated area of Zambales compared with land mass, having a land area of 267.16 square Kilometers housing a population of almost 105,000, it boarders with San Antonio and Castillejos on the North, Olongapo on the South and Pampanga on the East.

It is also highly industrialized, especially in ship repairs and ship building.

Tourist attractions:
Parts of costal areas Subic town proper and towards Olongapo house a number of resorts. Most specializing in SCUBA diving and boating activities.

There are also some resorts past the ship building area.

The town proper also has an exceptionally good wet market, especially for fresh seafood.
