Established in 1902 and with a population of just over 25,000 it boarders with Botolan on the North, San Felipe on the South and Pampanga on the East.

This was the last separated area in Zambales with its area coming from Botolan and San Felipe. This was for many years a sugar producing area, but since the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo all of this activity has ceased to function economically. Basically it is rural, but recently has more development in beach resorts.
